This month, get messy with a fun sensory craft - homemade snow! Flip through the image gallery at the bottom of this post for step by step visual instructions!
Full disclosure: this craft will end in a big soapy mess and lots of laughter! You can make mold-able snow with just three household items: baking soda, shaving cream and vinegar.
Start by pouring about 1 cup of baking soda in a bowl. Add shaving cream to the baking soda until it forms a wet powder and starts to stick together. Just these two ingredients make a fun mold-able snow! Build a snowman and get out some plastic animals to make tracks in the snow.
When you are ready to turn up the fun, get out the vinegar! This is where the real fun and mess begins!
Pour some distilled vinegar in a small bowl and watch what happens when you drip in a snowball or two! The snowballs will “melt” right before your eyes!
Have fun, get messy, and don’t worry it cleans up easily!
