eastside mom of the month

Mom of the Month: Heather Krenzer

Heather is a regular at our Stroller Strides and Body Back classes, and always impresses us with her humor, attitude, and determination! Thanks for being in our village, Heather!

When did you join FIT4MOM Eastside?

2.5 years ago when Logan was a newborn

What classes do you attend?

During the rainy season I do Stroller Strides at Home Court on Tuesdays and Thursdays but in the nice seasons I usually do MWF at Redmond Town Center. I am also attending Body Back in Bothell!

Who is/are your workout buddy(ies) and their age(s)?

Logan is 2.5 and Cora is 7 months

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?

I love the village. I have met so many wonderful moms that I am fortunate to call friends. Moving here I had a hard time adjusting to the “Seattle Freeze” but this village has been so heartwarming!

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?

I am currently a SAHM but was an “insurance nerd” previously. I handled personal injury litigation but had transitioned into Construction Surety Underwriting (aka blah blah blah insurance stuff).

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village?

The only way to survive momhood with a shred of sanity is to see and be around other moms with the same struggles. And the best way to survive is to have a group of ladies to lean on for support. All of these things take place in the F4M Eastside village!

What is your favorite beverage?

Red wine.

What is your favorite dessert?

Oh gosh. Anything sugar really. I have a wicked sweet tooth!

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?

RELAX! Maybe a spa day... I haven’t had a spa day since before kids!

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination?

Anything international; I love Europe but right now Australia and New Zealand are on the top of my list!

How has becoming a mother changed you?

Becoming a mother has given me so much more perspective. Perspective on how hard it is. Perspective on patience. Perspective on knowledge. Perspective on development. Perspective on relationships. And most of all, perspective on myself.

I am happiest when...

Both of my kids are napping at the same time!!!

Or drinking wine and eating good food. I’m a bit of a foodie!!!
