Fit Foodie Friday: Quick Apple Pie Oatmeal

Happy Fall Y’all! Autumn calls for warm, comforting food that nourishes our bodies and souls. This easy apple pie oatmeal for one is my go-to breakfast for a rainy fall morning! It keeps me fueled throughout the morning and tastes so amazing;). And kiddos love it!

  • Quick oats
  • 1/2 Apple, washed and diced
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 T raisins
  • 1 T walnuts, almonds or any nut you like
  • Hemp seed (optional)

Prepare you quick oats according to package directions for 1 serving. Add all ingredients in the bowl and stir. If you are looking for added protein, consider adding hemp seed, which has a mellow nutty flavor. The raisins and fresh apple give this oatmeal a nice sweet flavor, so no need for added sugar. Curl up in your sweats and slippers and enjoy.
