What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?

I think its hard to pick one favorite thing about FIT4MOM, but I would say it’s the commitment and dedication everyone has to making you (the new gal) feel welcomed and comfortable. I also love that FIT4MOM is easy. There’s no pressure to be at every single class or to do something that’s not within your comfort zone.

It’s become a part of my daily routine and I love it.

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?

Before becoming a mom and choosing to stay home, I was an Executive Assistant in Sydney, Australia for a non-profit contemporary and modern arts center.

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village?

I will be honest, before I became a mom, I had no idea what that phrase really meant. After moving to a new city with all my family and friends on the other side of the country, I quickly realized that there was NO way I could do “this” without the support from other women. After finding FIT4MOM Eastside, I knew that having that support to rely on was SO IMPORTANT to my journey as a mother. Sharing my joys and struggles with moms who were going through the same things or moms who had been there before and knew exactly what I was going through, to offer advice or just a shoulder to cry on without any judgment.

That is exactly what "it takes a village" means. So, whether you are a new mom or a seasoned mom in a new place, find that group that lifts you up! I know I did :)

What is your favorite beverage?

Coffee, Hot Tea & Wine, but not together.

What is your favorite dessert?

I'll take all the sweet things, please and thank you :)

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?

Oh my! Mani and Pedi for sure, you can nap while they do that, right? Followed by a dinner date night with Tom.

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination?

10 days in Italy with a wine and food tour

How has becoming a mother changed you?

Becoming a mom has changed the way I view what is really important and to slow down. In 8 months I have realized how quickly this time goes by.

I am happiest when...

I’m making Hunter laugh. It may be the best thing to light up my heart.
