She's Crafty: Watercolor Ice Painting

Take the messy paints outside with a nice cold twist in this activity! The supplies are cheap to buy and you probably already have them at home.

1. Plasticware

2. Tray, tub, or aluminum pan

3. Water

4. Watercolor paint with brush

1. Put ice piece into tray

2. Paint

3. Let kids go as the paint melts

Take any shaped plastic dish or Tupperware and fill half way up with water and freeze over night. The next day pop the ice shapes into a tray, bin, or aluminum pan so the water is collected as the ice melts. Let the kids use a brush and water colors to paint the ice block. This makes really cool water patterns as the colors mix.
