Mom of the Month (6).png

Mom of the Month: Keaton Hambrecht

Where are you originally from? I was born and raised in Washington (Bothell).

When did you join FIT4MOM? I joined FIT4MOM when I was 16 weeks pregnant and started with the FIT4BABY classes last summer.

What classes do you attend? I attend Stroller Strides with my little girl every Friday as a fun way to start the weekend!

Who is/are your workout buddy(ies) and their age(s)? My daughter’s name is Layla, and she is 6 months old.

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? I love the community of moms supporting each other through the peaks and valleys of motherhood. Stroller Strides is a great way to get out of the house, grab some fresh air, and bond with my daughter through exercise and singing songs.

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)? I am a registered nurse at a hospital in Seattle. After my maternity leave ends, I will return part-time while focusing on being a SAHM during the week.

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village? Being a new mom is hard! It really does take a village of support to help raise a little one while balancing self-care. As first time parents, we discover new things daily and must lean on our community for guidance and affirmation.

What is your favorite beverage? Iced coffee with a splash of oat milk (rain, snow, or shine, I will drink iced coffee).

What is your favorite dessert? I have a big sweet tooth, so I don’t just have one favorite. I love a good brownie or cookie!

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do? Spa with a facial and massage, followed by grabbing bubble tea and relaxing in the sunshine with a good book.

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination? I would love to go to Morocco! It is definitely on my bucket list!

How has becoming a mother changed you? Motherhood has expanded my appreciation for my husband, family support, and resiliency to do hard things. I can love this little being unconditionally while nourishing the other parts of my identity.

I am happiest when…my body and mental health are in balance and when: I listen to what I need by staying present.
