Meet our November Mom of the Month, Lisa!

Where are you originally from? I'm originally from Germany (Munich).

When did you join FIT4MOM? I joined in July 2022 (after recently moving here from Munich).

What classes do you attend? In the beginning, I just attended Stroller Strides classes, but at the moment I do more of the HIIT and TRX classes.

Who is/are your workout buddy(ies) and their age(s)? My workout buddy is Levi (15month old).

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? My favorite thing about Fit4Mom is the connection with new mums and also exchanging about different themes all over kids and family stuff. And I really love the Mums nights out!

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)? My job, before I got pregnant, was to be a hairstylist and I did make up also. At the moment I'm staying home.

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village? I would say "Yes, it takes a village to raise a child" but I would also say that "It takes a family to raise a child." A village can be great and strong, but without the support and security of a family none of it matters.

What is your favorite beverage? My favorite beverage is gin and tonic, and without alcohol it's peach iced tea.

What is your favorite dessert? My favorite dessert is a chocolate lava cake.

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do? I would go with my husband to a spa.

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination? My ultimate child free destination would be South Africa.

How has becoming a mother changed you? I think nearly everything has changed since I gave birth. I'm feeling totally different in my body than before, and also my mind changed. In the past it was me in first position, and now it's Levi. Every decision I make needs to be thought through because of him. But on the other side, I love to see him growing up and learning something new day to day. This makes me very happy.

I am happiest when...everything I planned is working, and also when we have family time together on a nice trip.
